Nesquehoning, PA—KME is pleased to announce that the City of Richmond, Virginia, and its Fire and Emergency Services have awarded KME and Goodman Specialized Vehicles an order for four custom pumpers. The award is part of a five-year contract with options for future purchases.
As the capital of Virginia, Richmond’s fire department is tasked with protecting approximately 200,000 residences and more than 400,000 workers and visitors each day. The department responds to more than 30,000 calls for service each year.
The custom pumpers will be built on 96” KME Severe Service chassis with cab occupant protection systems. Also included are Waterous 1,500-gpm pumps, 500-gallon water tanks, and five-year bumper-to-bumper warranties.
