As president of the Defense Division and a member of Darley’s executive leadership team, James has played a pivotal role in helping build Darley into the organization it is today. Throughout his tenure, James brought a unique combination of operational discipline, strategic thinking, data-driven decision making, and genuine care for people. His leadership helped strengthen Darley’s defense business, improve operational processes, foster greater collaboration across divisions, and prepare the next generation of leaders. James announced he will retire on October 2, 2026, after helping complete key organizational transitions. In that announcement, he expressed confidence in the future leadership of the Defense Division and his commitment to ensuring a smooth handoff for the team he helped build.
