Truck 451 was placed into service with the University Park (TX) Fire Department in the spring of 2017.  The cab (raised roof) is the Cyclone II X medium model mounted on a Cyclone II chassis.  Cab seating for four is provided along with an EMS cabinet installed on the rear cab wall. Both cab and the tandem-axle Sidestacker body are constructed of 3/16” extruded aluminum with hinged and ROM roll up doors on the rescue style body compartments.  SCBA storage is located adjacent to the rear wheel wells.

Power is provided by a 455-hp Cummins ISX 15 engine and an Allison EVS 4000 five-speed transmission with pushbutton shifter.  A Harrison 8-kW hydraulic generator is located in the officer side storage area.

The apparatus has a Hale Qmax 2,000-gpm pump (midship) and a UPF Poly III 470-gallon “T” tank.  The front bumper tray carries two 150-foot lays of 1¾-inch hose.  Crosslays located behind the cab include two 1¾-inch lays (125 feet of hose each) in the front trays and a 2½-inch lay (200 feet of hose) in the rear tray.  The bed carries 900 feet of 5-inch LDH hose in the upper right rear of the bed.  Foam capabilities are provided by a Hale 3.3 FoamLogix system with a 30-gallon foam cell and a Waterous 200-P Platinum CAFS.  The foam system is plumbed to the front jump lines and the crosslays.

The aerial is a rear mount, 105-foot HP model constructed of high strength steel with a steel waterway that features a Task Force Tips Monsoon 1,000-gpm electric monitor.  Aerial lighting includes Whelen 500 Series TIR6 Super-LED lights (red lenses) at the ladder tip, Light Rigid Industries lights on the fly section and red Luma-Bar Pathfinder LED strip lighting on both sides of the aerial.  The command pedestal for this is mounted on the rear upper left corner of the truck and is accessible by the left rear mounted staircase.  Heavy duty galvanized outriggers and a galvanized ladder tunnel are standard features.  Alco-Lite ground ladders (35-foot 3-section, 28-foot 2-section, 16- and 14-foot roof ladders, and 10-foot folding) are stored in the center mounted ladder tunnel.  A Little Giant Model 17 ladder is mounted on the top of the left side body.  An Alco-Lite 14-foot, double hook roof ladder is mounted on the left base section of the aerial.

Scene lighting is provided by Whelen Pioneer Plus PFP1 LED lights mounted on the brow and Pioneer Plus PFP2AC lights mounted on the cab sides and body sides.  Audio warning devices include a pedestal mount Federal Q2B and a Whelen Model 295HFSC9 electronic siren module.  Two Federal Dynamax ES100 speakers with “E-ONE” grilles are mounted through the front bumper.  The traditional fire bell is mounted on the right front corner of the bumper.
