New Darley WASP Pumper East Avon NY

By Darley Team

Tradition meets cutting edge with the delivery of a new WASP Pumper to the East Avon (NY) Fire Department. East Avon Fire Department’s WASP is built on a Ford F-550 severe-duty truck chassis. Darley equipped the apparatus with a Darley PSMC single-stage pump rated at 1,500 gpm. The pump is light and compact but can push flows of more than 1,800 gpm from draft. Not only is the pump efficient, it also has a Mechanical Seal and MagnaTrans Gearbox.

The apparatus is equipped with an AutoCAFS Pumping system with a FoamPro 2001 proportioner and a PolyBilt Copolymer body for added durability. This custom designed F-550 with Super Single conversion looks sleek with a custom paint job to match the department’s antique Ford chassis pumper.
