The Bozeman Fire Department reported on social media June 5 that two new pumpers, originally ordered in August 2021, are nearing completion and are expected to arrive mid-summer.

Built by the Sutphen Corporation out of Dublin, Ohio, the pumpers have been delayed by the COVID pandemic and numerous supply chain issues, according to the fire department.

The apparatus come in at roughly more than $600,000 a piece, nbcmontana.com reported.

When the new pumpers arrive, they will replace the department’s 2010 and 2011 models, which will then serve as backups if needed.
