BELGRADE, Montana — The Central Valley Fire District (CVFD) will held a groundbreaking ceremony recently for its new fleet services facility, the district said in a Facebook post. The ceremony took place at the future site of the facility, 775 Frank Road in Belgrade, Montana.

The new 8,100-square-foot facility will include maintenance bays, office space, and equipment storage to support the district’s growing fleet operations. The facility will enable CVFD’s Fleet Services Division to maintain emergency apparatus in a safe, efficient, and professional environment—ensuring vehicles are always ready to respond when needed.

“This project represents a significant investment in the long-term readiness and safety of our community,” said Fire Chief Jay Wittwer. “Our fleet maintenance team plays an essential role behind the scenes, and this new facility will give them the space and resources they need to perform their work safely and effectively.”

Designed by JDS Architects of Bozeman and constructed by Blanton Contracting, the Fleet Services Facility will be funded through the District’s capital improvement project funds. Once complete, it will serve as a regional asset across Gallatin County and beyond, providing maintenance and technical support for emergency response vehicles operated by neighboring fire and emergency service agencies.

“This facility is more than just a building,” added Chief Wittwer. “It’s a commitment to operational excellence and regional collaboration. We’re proud that our fleet maintenance team’s expertise supports not only Central Valley Fire District, but also our partner agencies throughout the area.”

Members of the Central Valley Fire District Board of Trustees have been invited to attend the ceremony. A quorum of the Board may be present; however, no District business will be conducted during the event.
